Flufftronix

Flufftronix (aka Michael Lasday) is a Chicago-born, Philadelphia-based DJ, producer and party starter. A master of contrasts, Fluff is adept at dispensing face-crushing soulmelters (quoth Lil Jon on Fluff’s track Filthy Angels, “That shit just make you wanna punch the shit outta some motherfucker!”), sensual luvstep grooves and everything in between.

Fluff cut his teeth DJing in the sleepy college town of Bloomington IN, but it didn’t take long before he’d transcended the boundaries of both Indiana and the midwest. He orchestrated a six week US/Canada tour with Alaskan wunderkid Curtis Vodka, released a celebrated mix for Brooklyn’s streetwear label Mishka, and garnered radio play from Mark Ronson, Kissy Sell Out, and Annie Mac with his ghetto house edit of Dead Prez’s “Hip Hop”.

Michael moved to Philadelphia in 2008 and hit the ground running, co-founding Subdivision, a collective based in Philly, Pittsburgh, and Manchester (UK) dedicated to spreading the heavy bass sound. In not even a year their events became the go-to destination for dubstep and heavy bass music – Philly’s parties have been host to Benga, Rusko, Starkey, Stenchman, Joker, Bok-Bok, L-Vis 1990, Kingdom, The Widdler, Joe Nice, and Toadally Krossed Out amongst others.

Fluff recently teamed up with Dirty South Joe to produce the Luvstep (<3step) Mix for Mad Decent, a genre-defining and prejudice-shattering collection the sexiest, smoothest dubstep tracks in existence, including the timeless Flufftronix remix of Passion Pit – The Reeling.

Rx

Magneto ( Max Eisenhardt/Magnus/Erik Lehnsherr ) is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Magneto has a twisted sense of humor, an unhealthy obsession with Metal, and his superhuman abilities are only applicable in post-industrial urban cities.

I, Rx, can relate.

Stumble

The moniker Stumble is born from the belief that true creativity is accidental and often incidental.

Raised in Rochester, NY, Stumble’s earliest memories are of Disney 45′s, Marvel Comics 12′s and his trusty plastic turntable. Starting to DJ in his teens, he quickly became enamored with eclectic selections and the original art of bedroom rocking. Shortly thereafter, he was asked to become a member of the Niagara Falls based iOZ productions, by founding members Reid Dunn (aka Wisp) and DJ Winter. His time with iOZ was cut short by a move to Philly to attend college. While in Philly, he became a member of the illustrious Seclusiasis studios along with core-members Dev79, Starkey, & Bd1982.  During this time, he was involved in North America’s first Grime monthly “GetIN” and was also featured on Slit Jockey Records’ Mixtape Vol. 1, and Street Bass Anthems vol. 1 & 2. In Philadelphia he would perfect his craft and play alongside the likes of Skream, Diplo, Switch, Jamie Vex’d, Plastician, Blaqstarr, Dj Sega, DJ Jonny Blaze, Jammer, Z-Trip, Aceyalone, Gift of Gab, Brendan Bring ‘Em, Dirty South Joe, Jokers of the Scene, and DJ Excel.

Today, Stumble continues to trip over his inspiration with Subdivision as well as the Brick Bandits.

Natty Boh Peep

The First Lady of Iron City Dub, Natty Boh Peep castrates her male peers with sets of the most aggressive Dubstep on both sides of the Atlantic. After nearly ten years as a Drum&Bass DJ, playing everywhere from Chicago to New York’s legendary Konkrete Jungle, Natty finally dropped the drums, but (thankfully) kept the bass. Her passion for death metal, hardcore, and violent rhythms pour into her Dubstep sets that gets a crowd slamdancing like a Germs show in the early 1980s. As a perfect juxtaposition, Natty is classically trained on the viola and in music theory, thus having unique ear for production; expect BIG tunes coming from her in the coming months. Think Mastodon meets Aphex meets Stenchman meets Satan. If Aeon Flux was a DJ, she’d be Natty Boh Peep!!

.rar Kelly

Along with Natty Boh Peep, .rar Kelly hosts Subdivision Pittsburgh like the F. Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald of Bass.  Guided by the teachings of the almighty Robert Sylvester Kelly, .rar Kelly champions all things bass.  Severely ADHD, .rar Kelly never plays a single bass genre and has been known to drop old Moby and Underworld in a set alongside the latest in Bassline, Grime, R & Bass, Heavy Weight Bass, Dubstep,  and other tunes that make dancefloors pulse like a vibrator.  Growing up in Baltimore during the Fever/BUZZ years, .rar was obsessed with the D.C./Baltimore dance culture; that is until candy became more important that beats. Convinced that breakcore and noise were the only quality electronic music, it wasn’t until Natty played him Skream’s “Midnight Request Line” that .rar put down his Fender Strat & opened up his laptop.  The rest best left on the dancefloor.
