MAD DIVISION: UK MAY 30TH

Bugged Out brings the success of last year’s Philly MAD DIVISION party to London.

Here’s the write up from BUGGED OUT

Last year’s Mad Decent party at Union St Car Park was one of 2009’s most memorable. Put together by Bugged Out and Diplo it featured Fake Blood, Crookers, Skream, Boy 8 Bit and the man himself. So it didn’t take much persuading to invite Diplo back to the venue for another bank holiday belter. This time Diplo has curated both rooms and the line up is epic. In the Mad Decent Soundsystem room joining Diplo is Brooklyn, N.Y’s Drop The Lime joining London boys L-Vis 1990, Mumdance and Martelo. In the Mad Division room Rusko is having his O.M.G album launch so he’ll be playing and is joined by exponent of purple music Joker, Untold, Jayou and Stenchman. Put this line up in an incredible warehouse venue with a boomin’ system and major lazers and BOOM that’s your next bank holiday sorted. Sunday May 30th. 10pm-6am. Union St Car Park 29 Great Suffolk St, London SE1.

KELLZ’s KUTS 001: Canadian Step

I am really tired of the American elitist attitude against Canadians. They have been the butt of too many jokes here in the States. However, Canada will have the last laugh. Aside from producing stellar hockey players, Canada has been way ahead of the States when it comes to Dubstep.

In 2009, when the States finally started catching onto Dubstep, Canadians have been on its tip for years. In fact, Excision’s Darkstep mix from 2006 was the mix that finally sold me on the genre. And, dare I say, the Canadian Dubstep producers have finally caught up to the genre’s UK godfathers. With producers such as DZ, Excision, Datsik, and many more, the Canadian Dubstep scene is presently the cutting edge of the genre.

Here are just a couple examples:
BOOM – Excision & Datsik

CRUNCH – Excision & Flux Pavilion

BroStep – DZ

And finally, this Kellz’s favorite track of the moment.

Rx: FORGED SCRIPTS

DJing
Subdivision’s own Rx has been a very busy man. In the next few months the pharmacist of bass has a forthcoming split with Plastic Little’s Si Young on Brooklyn’s Code Of Arms Records, the manic Jusyanutz is scheduled for the next installment of SeclusiasisStreet Bass Anthems series, and his Jupiter One remix for Rykodisc will be featured on Flufftronix and Dirty South Joe‘s Luvstep mix for Mad Decent‘s podcast. Rx’s tracks have been championed by the likes of PLASTICIAN, STARKEY, DEV79, STENCHMAN, and JAYOU. Rx’s collaboration with Chae Hawk was featured on this summer’s stellar DUBSTEP LA mix by PLASTICIAN.

For all of these reasons, we at Subdivision decided to share some of Rx’s massive remixes of NINE INCH NAILS and BROKEN SPINDLES. Also be sure to check the forthcoming Rx post (and free trax) on SQUEEGIE SOUNDS, and in case you missed it, check out the Mischief Night release of Rx’s haunting remix of Banned Books’ “Anti-Anthem” on the BIG UP MAGAZINE blog.

Any way here are the remixes (at 320kbps):
