We are going to utilize this installment of Teamwerk Tuesdays to shine the spotlight on Krueger’s latest release “Galactica”. Krueger is a Philly artist and one half of the Teamwerk DJs. Currently his production is hot fire and taking the future club music world by storm, receiving great reviews from heavy hitters such as Canblaster and LOL Boys in addition to receiving play abroad in countries such as France, Germany and Spain. “Galactica” is a somewhat coming of age tune that expresses maturity through depth and emotion…in addition to some serious global drums and punishing bass! Think Girl Unit under a palm tree on Mecury…

Also, wanted to start the Hype machine for fellow Teamwerk rapscallion Copout’s residency at Rad Summer Radio beginning Friday April 22^nd, and being presented the 4^th Thursday of each month. Look for some real progressive Tropical Future Bass from this bad boy from 5-8 at the M Room, or tune in live HERE. If you are lucky we may post the new KNC (Krueger N’ Copout) track next week. Watch out though, it’s so hot it may melt your computer!

BOOOOMMMM! SUBtropic this Thursday will be massive! Dubbel Dutch has been straight killing it lately. His forward thinking production has been inspiring Teamwerk for some time now and we cant wait to host him.

Dubbel Dutch (a.k.a. Marc Glasser) is a New York born DJ and Music Producer. Citing his first inspirations as Warp Records and the early sounds of dubstep and minimal techno, he started producing electronic music in High School. In 2006, he began DJing college radio which led him to discover the eclectic world of underground dance music. Drawing from an increasingly diverse range of influences, his sound is always energetic and original, delivering a unique style of global bass music.

Now hailing from Austin, Texas, Dubbel Dutch brews up a style that fuses elements of uk funky, tech house, tropical future bass music, & grime that match perfectly. His ground breaking releases on Palms Out and Enchufada have sent shockwaves throughout the dance scene receiving the royal treatment from leaders such as Bok Bok, L-VIS 1990, Sinden, Toddla T, Jamie xx, NGUZUNGUZU and French Fries. He continues to amaze dancefloors with his legendary sets packed with plenty of exclusive dubs. This is not one to be missed Philly!

Our 2nd Annual Subdivision Bass Safari was last night, and a really really great time! Everyone who played pretty much wrecked shop in their own distinct way.. thanks much to Girl Unit, Sgt. I’m really excited to present UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED, VOL. I! Not having released a mix since Luvstep, I’ve tried my best to make this one a worthy successor. Whereas the former was made to hone in on a specific subgenre, this mix was engineered to highlight a bunch of different strains of bass music I’m excited about right now. There’s come cross-pollination going on too: I really like a lot of the “Drumstep” stuff that’s coming out lately, but have had the most success playing it out mixed with rap hooks and club chants (my Tim Dolla remix in this section is basically that), so I’ve tried to translate some of that here. There’s all sorts of little edits along the way, and a crop of my upcoming releases too.

Big treat in store for next weekend.. we’re teaming up with Philly’s all-girl DJ night DOUBLE DUTCH to provide yall with an evening of music we’re calling DOUBLE DIVISION! It’s at the recently renovated M-Room just east of Front and Girard, which boasts a pretty bangin new soundsystem.

Our own Lady Prowl and Natty Boh Peep (of PGH Subdivision; her first Subdiv performance in Philly!) will be sharing the decks with London’s Ikonika, for the first show on her US tour. Ikonika’s one of the people at the forefront of the evolution of dubstep, having just released an LP on the renowned label Hyperdub (one of their first full-length releases since Burial’s “Untrue”).
