Dubbel Dutch (a.k.a. Marc Glasser) is a New York born DJ and Music Producer. Citing his first inspirations as Warp Records and the early sounds of dubstep and minimal techno, he started producing electronic music in High School. In 2006, he began DJing college radio which led him to discover the eclectic world of underground dance music. Drawing from an increasingly diverse range of influences, his sound is always energetic and original, delivering a unique style of global bass music.

Now hailing from Austin, Texas, Dubbel Dutch brews up a style that fuses elements of uk funky, tech house, tropical future bass music, & grime that match perfectly. His ground breaking releases on Palms Out and Enchufada have sent shockwaves throughout the dance scene receiving the royal treatment from leaders such as Bok Bok, L-VIS 1990, Sinden, Toddla T, Jamie xx, NGUZUNGUZU and French Fries. He continues to amaze dancefloors with his legendary sets packed with plenty of exclusive dubs. This is not one to be missed Philly!

Many know him under his DJ DONNA SUMMER moniker and as the other label head of the fantastic Nightshifters. But years ago – at least 6 or 7 – Jason Forrest used to make and curate some of the weirdest left-field electronic music. To be honest, it wasn’t until I bought DJ Donna Summer’s Panther Tracks when it first came out & saw that it was on Forrest’s Cock Rock Disco that I made the connection. But enough of my inability to connect the dots.

Like I said, it has been years since Jason released any “Jason Forrest” music. And though it has been a while, Jason never stopped making the music that he “always considered closest to my interests and inspirations.”

That’s why we at Subdivision are proud to announce that Jason Forrest has a new Full-Length album due out in 2011!

When Brian Miller asked Jason to make 2 tracks for his Deathbomb Arc “Digital Singles Club” the proposition morphed into a legit 4-track EP – the Utopia E.P. – which both Jason and Subdivision are happy as hell to share FOR FREE!!!

We at Subdivision love all things Secret Agent Gel. We love his eclectic genre-bending productions; we love his Sub FM show The Kids Are Bored; we love his Bass Tourist label; we love his brilliant file sharing site Dubfiler; we love that he is a sage and official “professor” of Ableton Live; and, most of all, we love the man himself. Our 2nd Annual Subdivision Bass Safari was last night, and a really really great time! Everyone who played pretty much wrecked shop in their own distinct way.. thanks much to Girl Unit, Sgt.
