Bass Tourist stretches that Lengthy Riddim

I love Bass Tourist. Run by Brooklyn’s Secret Agent Gel, the label has continued to put out diverse, intense dance music for the past couple years. The label’s latest release, MISTA MEN‘s “Lengthy Riddim”, continues the label’s tradition of progressive dance music. “Riddim” is a tribal dance track featuring intricate, body-weight beats and heavy bass. At once deep and upfront, it sits well alongside dubstep, UK Funky, house or any bass-heavy dance floor mix. Furthermore, the release is coupled with a MASSIVE remix by HACKMAN, originally known for his Dubstep productions, but with this remix delves into almost house, almost a classic garage sound, sexier, and more luscious.

Mella Dee & Woozee, both from Doncaster in South Yorkshire, make up Mista Men. They came together in 2007, making UK funky, garage, jungle, DnB, and dubstep around the 130 mark with big basslines.

Hackman is currently a student at Leeds College of Music, doing a music production degree. Having originally delved into dubstep production, he now concentrates on UK Funky and UK Garage mutations.

You may have heard “Riddim” dropped by the likes of Girl Unit (FACT mix 154), Martyn, & Tomb Crew. Here’s what the latter two had to say about the release:
Martyn says, “”Beautiful, great vibes”
Tomb Crew says, “Love it, will be fully supporting”

Here’s 128kbps of the release. Soak it up & then go BUY the 320s when they drop on JULY 1, 2010.
